7 BRIT Award 2020 Moments Worth Knowing About

Last night we saw the BRITS return with some of our favourite icons (hello, Lewis Capaldi). Watching Stormzy scoop up the British Male Solo Artist award, Dave take home the British Album award for Psychodrama and with whopping performances from Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and more, we’ve rounded up our best BRIT bits.

From key style moments to some sneaky backstage shots, we’re showing you our highlights (in no particular order) from the 2020 BRIT Awards.

1. Roman Kemp Turns Up In TOPMAN

Stealing the top spot is Roman Kemp killing it in a TOPMAN suit. Looking dapper alongside dad Martin Kemp, these two were the duo of the night.

2. Tyler, The Creator Backstage

Taking home International Male Solo Artist, Tyler, The Creator stands backstage in a leopard print vest. Are we feeling it? Course we are.

3. DAVE’s Piano Performance

Dave’s unreal performance at the BRITS 2020 was one of our standout moments, by far. Sat at a piano reeling off accompanying words and images, Dave’s song Black threw political daggers in every direction. If you didn’t get goosebumps, did you even watch it?

Check out his performance here.

4. Harry Style’s All-Embellished Outfit

Channeling his inner Elvis, Harry Styles performed Falling in an all-embellished jumpsuit (matching Presley sideburns included). We’re big on iconic fashion moments, so we’re pretty huge on this. And, don’t worry – he’s still wearing his famous braces. Just look a little closer.

5. Lewis Capaldi Is Every Man’s Hero

Is there anything better than a guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously? Lewis Capaldi is the hero we all need. Accepting his Song Of The Year award with a Buckfast (Scottish tonic red wine) in one hand and his BRIT in the other, it’s an absolute yes from us.

Take a listen to his performance here.

6. Stormzy Soaks The Stage

Serving up a whole medley, we were treated to a top show with Stormzy’s BRIT performance. After doing a rendition of J-Hus’ Fortune Teller, Burna Boy came on stage to join him for their number one hit Own It before doing his own song Anybody. Finishing with Stormzy’s Rainfall, the man himself was joined on-stage by a mass of choir singers and dancers as an artificial down-pour consumed them. I.c.o.n.i.c.

7. It’s All Love With Harry Styles and Lizzo

Is this not the most wholesome picture you’ve seen all week? Not much else to say, really. We’ll just leave this right here.
